The client wanted to solve a common, everyday problem: quickly finding a reliable professional — a plumber, a contractor, a graphic designer — without wasting time calling around or not knowing who's actually available. Our team built Fixi with a smart matching system: when a user submits a request, it's automatically routed only to professionals ("fixers") who match the service type, location, and specified schedule, filtering out irrelevant or out-of-hours requests from the start. The most interesting technical challenge was designing the dynamic quoting system, built for services where price can't be set in advance: the professional assesses the job on-site and quotes in real time within the platform itself. The result was a solution that gave the client an agile, well-segmented product, solving both the demand side — quickly finding the right professional — and the supply side, giving each fixer visibility and qualified requests based on their real availability.
